Childcare Subsidy 

Something to consider before you begin your childcare journey is familiarizing yourself with CCS (Childcare subsidy), which is the assistance given by the government to help you with the cost of childcare and is paid directly to your childcare provider.  

To apply for childcare subsidy please log onto your MyGov account and go to Centrelink. Click make a claim or view claim status, select childcare subsidy, and follow the prompts from there.  

Once you have been approved you will receive a percentage of CCS and a number of eligible hours. Centrelink will then pay that percentage of your fees, for the number of eligible hours you have been given, leaving you with only the gap fee to pay (full daily fee – childcare subsidy percentage= gap fee)
